Drawing dies

Wire drawing dies (filieres) are used in wire drawing machines as the wire passage and are intended to determine the diameter of the wire.

Wire drawing dies can be made of carbide material, synthetic diamond (PCD), or carbide with diamond coating. All of them are consumable materials and need to be replaced when worn out.

PCD wire drawing dies are the most durable and can last a long time.
